In 2016 droidcon will be back in Turin for the 3rd edition! It will take place from April 7-8 at Centro Congressi Lingotto like the last edition.
The venue was built between 1917 and 1922 and designed by architect Giacomo Mattè Trucco in a rationalist, innovative style. The building symbolized a turning point in the development of Italian industry, marking the end of one era and the start of another. It offers ideal public transport connections – it is right in front of “lingotto” metro station – the perfect venue for a conference that addresses a global community.
We’ll start off on April 7: we’ll have two days of conference program, consisting of the most interesting talks and workshops. There will be also many related activities by GDG’s from all around Italy.
Last year’s droidcon Turin attracted more than 700 participants per day who joined to discuss topics of the Android ecosystem. The program consisted of 60+ talks, keynotes and workshops. For 2016 we’re expecting 800 attendees from Turin, Europe and the World.
After the two days of conference we’ll have the Droidcon Italy Hackathon on April 9-10. More info will be published soon.
